Live chat solutions have long been a proven commodity for ecommerce merchants. By more effectively communicating with customers, online retailers typically experience higher sales, larger order sizes and lower return rates.
Providers such as Bold Software and LivePerson frequently release data as to the benefits of Live Chat during the holidays, but this is the first season in which eBay sellers have a solution customized for their platform. Store Live Chat by 3Dsellers is an app that can be found on the eBay app center, allowing sellers to take their customer service to higher levels.
The live chat app integrates with IM clients such as Google Talk, Yahoo, ICQ, AIM, MSN and eBay's Web client, and sellers can receive messages from their PCs, laptops, iPhones, iPads, Blackberry and Android devices and more. The app comes with a 7-day free trial, after which time the cost is $5.95 per month.
3Dsellers is a member of the eBay developer program and owns about 10 percent of the apps on eBay’s app center.
